Growing information: EVERGREEN SHRUB HERB the wild species, growing to 0.6 m (2ft) by 0.6 m (2ft in). Prefers any well-drained soil and is hardy to minus 28ºC. Leaves are used raw or cooked as flavouring. Strongly aromatic, they are used as an aid to digestion, often for use with oily food. Herb tea is made from the fresh or dried leaves and is said to be a digestive. Sage antiseptic medicinal oil is used for many complaints.
